The Reds…go!

The Cincinnati Reds look to salvage a game on the road against the Miami Marlins having dropped each of the first two very, very winnable games of this series.

Standing in their way is Sandy Alcantara, who’ll start for Miami for the fifth time in 2025 after missing all of the 2024 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery. The 2022 National League Cy Young Award winner has flashed fastball velocity akin to his peak during his return, but he’s yet to recapture the elite form that led him to that award three seasons ago.

Hopefully, the Cincinnati bats can do their best to keep him from recapturing it today.

Brady Singer starts for the Reds looking to be more of the guy he was in his first start with the club (7.0 IP, H, 0 ER) than he’s been in his trio of starts since (14.1 IP, 17 H, 12 R (9 ER)).

First pitch is set for 1:10 PM ET. Starting lineups below!
