Reds have 7 players on MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 Prospect List

August 5, 2025 by Red Leg Nation

The folks at MLB Pipeline have once again updated their Top 100 prospects in baseball list. The latest version of the list features seven Cincinnati Reds prospects.

Three of the players have big league experience. The seven players represent players in the big leagues now, one on the injured list, two in Triple-A, one in Double-A, and one in Single-A.

At the top of the list is Chase Burns. He won’t be eligible for prospect lists much longer. In three days he will no longer have “prospect eligibility” because he will have spent more than 45 days on an active big league roster. But we aren’t there yet, so he’s on the list and MLB Pipeline has him ranked as the #2 prospect in Major League Baseball.

Both Sal Stewart and Rhett Lowder also find themselves in the top 50 on the list. Lowder has missed the entire season to this point with an elbow injury and then an oblique injury while he was on rehab from the elbow injury.

Sal Stewart, though, has been having one of the better seasons among the Reds players down on the farm. He led the Double-A Southern League in average through 80 games when he was then promoted up to Triple-A. He’s now played in 15 games there. Between his two stops this season he’s hitting .305/.372/.494 with 25 doubles, 14 home runs, 15 steals, 31 walks, and 57 strikeouts in his 393 plate appearances.

Cam Collier missed time earlier in the season after suffering a thumb injury in spring training, but he’s back on the field now and in Double-A with the Chattanooga Lookouts. He comes in at the #55 spot on the list, but then you’ve got to get near the bottom of the list for the other three guys. Catcher Alfredo Duno, who hit a 443-foot home run over the weekend, is going by Chase Petty and shortstop Tyson Lewis in the final 20 spots on the Top 100.

Tyson Lewis (pictured above) is the Reds fastest rising prospect this season. He rounds out the list at the #100 spot, but some places have him inside the top 60 (Baseball Prospectus and The Athletic) on their lists.  The 2024 2nd round pick spent his season in Arizona playing for the complex level team. He played 46 games there until their season came to an end near the end of July and then moved up to join Single-A Daytona where he’s now played in 10 more games. He’s hitting .333/.390/.526 with 25 extra-base hits, 22 steals, 18 walks, and 63 strikeouts in his 251 plate appearances.
