Spring Game Thread: Kansas City Royals vs Cincinnati Reds

The Cincinnati Reds dropped both games that they played on Friday and the offense struggled in each contest. Today they are at home in Goodyear and hosting the Kansas City Royals. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05pm ET.

Will Benson, five others sent to minor league camp

Cincinnati made another round of roster cuts today. Will Benson was the only position player among the group that was cut today and also the only one on the 40-man roster. The other five players were all pitchers: Chase Petty, Zach Maxwell, Albert Abreu, Bryan Shaw, and Lenny Torres Jr. You can read about each player in our more detailed breakdown here.

Jose Trevino feels good but not out of the woods yet

Trevino seems to be doing OK today, but as a precaution is being sent today for a CT scan on his right thumb,.
