Kentucky is a finalist for the son of Peja Stojakovic and is in the mix for a man who torched the Wildcats for UNC Wilmington.
Andrej Stojakovic is down to three contenders, and the Kentucky Wildcats made the cut.
On Thursday, Stojakovic trimmed his list to Kentucky, North Carolina, and California, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.
Tipton adds that Stojakovic is set to visit Kentucky this weekend.

Originally a class of 2023 recruit, the 6-foot-7, 190-pound Stojakovic was a McDonald’s All-American who finished 25th overall in his class via 247 Sports Composite. The son of former NBA star Peja Stojakovic held scholarship offers from Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, UCLA, and UConn, among others.
As a true freshman this past season, Stojakovic appeared in 32 games, averaging 7.8 points (40.9% shooting and 32.7% on 3-pointers), 3.4 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 22.3 minutes per game. 3.3 of his 7.6 field-goal attempts per game came from 3-point range, so that’s why his overall shooting percentage is lower than you’d like to see.
Stojakovic’s best game of the season came in a 98-68 home win over the USC Trojans, where he racked up 20 points on 8/12 shooting (4/7 from deep) with six boards and three assists.
Kentucky appears to have a real shot here. Let’s see if Mark Pope can get it done this weekend.
Elsewhere, we have a new name to watch for, though it’s one Kentucky fans will be familiar with.
Remember when UNC Wilmington came into Rupp Arena and upset the Cats?
A big part of that was Seahawks forward Trazarien White going off for 27 points on 9/16 shooting with 10 rebounds.
Now, White is in the transfer portal, and Kentucky has made contact, according to KSR’s Jacob Polacheck.

“With the greats that they’ve put in the league, they’re really the face of the NBA,” White told KSR+.

White hopes to have a decision made within two weeks, so this is a recruitment that will move fast. Kentucky has yet to set up a visit with him.
Set to be a senior in the 2024-25 college basketball season, White has spent three years at UNC Wilmington. The Texas native has seen his numbers increase every year and immediately becomes one of the best players in the transfer portal.
This past season, the 6-foot-7, 190-pound forward averaged 19.8 points (49.3% shooting and 39% on 3-pointers), 6.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 30.4 minutes per game. He had six double-doubles and three games of 30+ points.
This is a big one to watch for.
